The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is Andreas Dahrendorf, Hauptstr. 5l, 10317 Berlin, Germany. Contact:andx@euai.talk.
Accessing the website
This static website is operated on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When the website is accessed, the server processes technical access data, in particular the IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, and user agent. This processing serves the delivery, stability, and security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Rotated access logs are deleted under the current server configuration after seven days at the latest, unless a longer retention period is legally required.
Local storage
The choice of light or dark mode is stored exclusively in the browser's local storage. This website does not use cookies for this purpose. The choice remains stored until it is changed or deleted in the browser.
Optional Google Analytics
Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Without consent, the Google service is not loaded. We measure page views, scrolling, outbound link clicks and downloads to understand use of the website. Device and browser details, approximate location and a random cookie identifier may be processed. Google technically receives your IP address; we do not send names, email addresses or user IDs.
The analytics cookies _ga and _ga_* expire within 180 days. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage for 180 days. You can withdraw consent for future processing at any time using “Analytics settings” in the footer. This deletes the website's analytics cookies and reloads the page without Google Analytics.
The legal bases are your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Google Signals, ad personalisation and advertising service links are disabled. URL query parameters and fragments are not passed to analytics. User-level and event-level data retention in Google Analytics is two months; aggregate reports may remain longer.
Google LLC may process data in the USA. Google describes the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses as transfer mechanisms. See Google's privacy policy and international data transfers. This website has no social media pixels or user accounts. The guest form at gast.euai.talk is excluded from this analytics setup.
Form for guests
Anyone who has agreed to a conversation receives a personal link to a form at gast.euai.talk. The form can only be reached through that link. It sets no cookies and loads no content from third parties. The choice of light or dark mode is stored only in the browser's local storage, as on this website.
The form processes: name, company, role, and city as they should be given in the episode; the preferred date; a postal address and, if provided, a phone number for sending a headset; the uploaded pictures; the consent to recording and publication together with its time and wording; and voluntary notes. Accessing it produces the same technical access data as this website.
The information is used to prepare, record, and publish the conversation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for publishing the recording and the picture, consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future; an email is sufficient.
The data is stored on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and is not passed on to third parties, with one exception: the address and the phone number go to the parcel service that delivers the headset. Address and phone number are deleted once the headset has been returned. Name, company, pictures, and the record of consent are kept for as long as the episode is published and legal obligations require.
Contact by email
Contact is exclusively by email. Clicking the contact link does not transmit data to EU AI Talk; the link opens the email program configured in the browser. If an email is sent, the data contained in it is processed to handle and respond to the enquiry. The email infrastructure is provided by Fastmail Pty Ltd. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns potential cooperation, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Messages are retained for as long as necessary to process them and fulfil any subsequent statutory obligations.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. To exercise these rights, an email to andx@euai.talk is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Berlin, this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
